Shekkinah, like the Kabbalah, was Judaism's rip-off of Gnostic theology. The Shekinah was Judah's answer to the Gnostic Sophia of Greek origin, and both are products of male priesthoods deliberately watering down the spiritual power of the Divine Feminine lest it reappear with its former greatness and prove government and society in feminine hands works better than with Patriarchy. In Patriarchy women are to be kept and kept away from positions of social power so the Abrahamic priesthoods made sure from the start of the Abrahamic Reign of Terror that the icons of Divine Feminine spiritual power were stripped from Abrahamic religions and only males are allowed to rule.
Abrahamic priesthoods did allow tokens to Goddess worship but they are ephemeral ghosts, like the Holy Ghost, mere shadows of the Great Goddesses, especially the powerful Asherah, the Tree of Life that still shows up in Judaism and Christianity. Asherah, full-bodied Goddess in ancient Canaan, was once the wife of EL Elyon and his son, Yahweh, as well. If you swallow the male priesthoods' ruse and go for these poor substitutes of Asherah, or Kali, or Isis, or Hera, or Spider Woman and all the Goddesses on non-European, non-Near Eastern soils. These were real Great Goddesses with real powers ascribed to them and the gods and people they worked through. They were not just whispers in the wind, hapless air goddesses with no sex, no children, no real MOTHER meaning to them. Interestingly, the most powerful of the Great Mother Goddesses were the ones also labeled "Virgin", e.g. Mary who swept the Americas because they were Goddess worshipers from way back--it wasn't really Jesus but Mary who did inserted Catholicism into all the lands south of the Rio Grande. Return of White Buffalo Calf Woman bearing the Spirit of Christ.The Godhead is restoring Itself, the Elohim are returning to spiritual power as God annihilates monotheistic Abrahamic religions both with historical science wiping out Bible myths and people finally getting sick and tired of Abrahamic Patriarchy with its male territorial religious warfare that never seems to end. Goddess worship will be restored so that women on earth have their celestial role models of empowerment and not just men. We are witness to the final death throws of Abrahamic religious madness. The head has already been cut off the Abrahamic body for anyone who critically thinks but like a snake it is taking a long time for the body to realize its dead meat.

Asherah's icon: The Tree of Life
The Tree of Life is in every Christian home every Christmas as the first "Christmas trees" were modeled from the "Paradise Tree" found in Medieval Morality Play stage sets.*
The Jewish Menorah also keeps Asherah as the Tree of Life icon alive. Like Pauline Christianity includes sun-god worship with baby Jesus being born on the tradition birthday of sun-gods, December 25th, so too does Judaism include it's own honoring of the Jewish sun-god, Shamash, with the nine-candle Hanukkah menorah where Shamash, the "Helper" candle stands as leader.
Asherah
Asherah, the mother goddess, together with Astarte and Anath represent the three forms of women (and in the mythology they play confused roles). Asherah the mother, Astarte the wife/lover and Anath the sister/virgin all play important roles in the mythology. They correspond to Hera, Aphrodite and Artemis in Greek mythology.
Asherah: Great Goddess of the Canaanites
To modern Gnostic Christians, God is truly Holy One which means God contains both Male and Female aspects mated together in the Dance of Life and Death here in our material world, our universe. "God" cannot be fully understood or It's spiritual instructions for attaining reunion with It (Salvation) until we humans recognize Both Aspects of the Holy One as Equal and necessary to good life on earth and eternal life in heaven. Therefore, The Great Mother must be restored right along with El, the Compassion One, Jesus' Good Father, the model for the Good earthly King, and the Good earthly father.
This is the Canaanite Great Goddess Asherah as the Great Mother: She is a Triple Goddess with Her 2 daughters, Astarte (Ishtar) and Anath: She is Virgin and pure (New Moon). She is Mother (Full Moon) and consort of El and is called "Mother of the 70 Gods" (i.e., all of them), and his bitterest enemy in Her third aspect as Destroyer and Death. Without death there is no life in our physical/material world. She is then a goddess of exhibiting Yahweh's split into love and hateful aspects.
In Canaanite imagery She is first shown as standing between two goats up on their hind legs. She holds a sheaf of grain in each hand, feeding them (they are sometimes gazelles). She is eventually shown as the Tree of Life, that tree always bearing Goddess worship sacred numbers relating to the 7 planetary rulers, 9 months of pregnancy, or 28 days of the lunar month. She is referred to in the Old Testament as "the Grove".
Asherah as the Tree of Life is the same Tree of Life that Yahweh drove Adam away from eating its fruit, away from the Garden of Eden, Yahweh who set, in his spiritual ignorance, guardian spiritual beings, the winged lions, the Cherubim, the very emblems of the Great Goddess who was often pictured riding Her Lion of God and flanked by cherubim.
Here is the Holy One's mystical instruction hidden in John's Revelation passages about the Tree of Life which contain the same love/hate dichotomy as Yahweh:
"To him that overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the Tree of Life, which is in the paradise of God."
-Rev 2:7
"Blessed are those who wash their robes that they may have the right to the Tree of Life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who practices falsehood."
-Rev 22:14,15
John shows the schizophrenia of Yahweh's Spirit which condemns the Feminine that it desperately needs. Even John's Tree of Life is Patriarchalized with the number of its branches changed from Goddess numbers of 7 (Planetary Rulers), 13, and 28 (Lunar numbers), to 12 (Solar number-God as a male solar deity-12 Disciples, 12 Patriarchs, etc., although even 12's are throwbacks to the pagan Chaldean Zodiac, the Circle of Animals.
John ends Revelation with the warning that anyone who changes the words of his prophesies God will take away his share in the Tree of Life and in the Holy City."
The Holy City is Feminine and symbolized by the Great Goddess' daughter, Ishtar, who was once known as the Queen of Jerusalem.* She is then spiritually worthy to be the Bride of El-Immanuel or Jesus, the rightful Son of the Compassionate One, and the two together represent the true heads of the Holy Family as united as Holy One of Heaven and Earth.

The Great Mother is also compassionate, matching the compassion of EL

God the Father arises with city states replacing rural villages as centers of human society. God the Father worship culminates in denial of Nature and the Divine Feminine.
Cow gods: EL could take the form of a white bull (Moon) to impregnate the cow goddess.
The Holy Wedding was originally always portrayed as Hiero Gamos, the Union of God and Goddess. Augustine states, "The bible informs us that 'God is love.' Love involves a lover, a beloved, and a spirit of love between lover and loved."
The Lover is El, the Compassionate One, the Beloved is Asherah as the Great Mother who is also Unconditionally Compassionate to all Her Children as only a mother can be. And God is the Spirit of Love binding the two together.
If you believe God is Love as I do, you must believe God has masculine and feminine aspects because the most complete expression of Love in all its forms is found between man and woman, the union of Love that produces children, the Family and the Foundation of Society.
