An Independent Artist Auction
Why let major art auction houses dictate selling prices for artists while racking in enormous profits made off those same artists? Why let art auction houses dictate what artists and what pieces become valuable when art auction people are not artists themselves, merely art as commodity speculators? Would artists choose a bad work of Leonardo Da Vinci such as his Salvator Mundi painting to become the world's most expensive art work? Would non-Pop artists select Andy Warhol's vapid over-hyped Marilyn Monroe picture as America's most valuable and expensive work of art? America suffers from non-artist auction house personnel, gallery owners, museum curators and art collectors dictating what is or isn't of valuable in American Art. Time to let artists themselves set the prices of their paintings.
